The Fleet Supplier of the Year Award is designed to identify the fleet supplier who has gone the extra mile in providing exceptional service to fleet customers. This award is open to service companies that have proved over the year that they have invested heavily in their commitment to fleet.
A company must stand out for its service levels, products, quality of staff and commitment to providing the best products or services in its sector. Clear proof was required, particularly through strong customer testimonies, along with clear evidence of innovation and product development designed to make a difference to fleet customers.
Peak Performance has now won the accolade of "Best Risk Management Company" every time it has entered a submission for the award - an unprecedented four times in the last five years.
The Fleet News judges said that Peak Performance had secured the Best Risk Management Company Award for a record fourth year because "the company continues to innovate and extend its services across all types of risk management".
The Judges also said when selecting ourselves that " Peak Performance offers a complete suite of products and employs the groundbreaking online DriverMetrics Fleet Driver Risk Index, created by Cranfield University to assess behavioural risk online,"
The MPG Marathon is open to all cars and light commercial vehicles. In addition to the overall prizes for Best Overall MPG and Best Percentage Improvement, there are separate prizes for the class winners.
James Sutherland Managing Director of Peak Performance, and Director of Sales Richard Hill won the coveted first place position for second time in October 2007 in a Toyota Aygo Petrol 1.0 with a stunning overall mpg of 78.39. Previously in 2006 in a Toyota Aygo 1.4 Diesel James and Richard won with an amazing overall mpg of 83.44. Both figures significantly exceed Toyota published fuel consumption figures.
Peak Performance has already trained thousands of fleet drivers on how to drive more safely, smoothly and economically thereby improving their safe driving skills as well as reducing fuel consumption through their Econodrive programme. James explains: "Our achievement is a clear demonstration of the benefits which effective driver training can have if company drivers are aware of the impact of a smoother and safer driving style. With an improved technique, this not only saves fleet operators thousands of pounds every year in the cost of fuel, but also reduces the level of emissions and carbon footprint for which businesses are becoming increasingly accountable." Peak Performance is experiencing an increasing demand from companies wishing to take advantage of the Econodrive programme and the benefits that can be achieved by drivers of all levels and competences within a company.
