Van and Truck Driving Skills

This course is specifically designed to introduce and reinforce the different driving characteristics inherent in the operation of LCVs.  The course will help drivers become completely familiar with this type of vehicle and build upon their existing driving skills enabling participants to operate the vehicle safely at all times. Drivers learn a number of specific driving techniques that will reduce their potential of being involved in a crash. Participants will have an improved understanding of the contributory factors inherent in common accidents with LCVs.

Key benefits include a reduction in reversing and manoeuvring incidents and an improved understanding of the vehicle's dynamic characteristics with regard to steering, braking, accelerating and cornering.
